Citizens' Advisory Committee on the Sonoma County General Plan revision is considering the issue of converting forestland to vineyards.

Artesa vineyard conversion in Annapolis    new 7/27/03
Commentary on the 105 acre conversion proposed by Artesa (owned by Codorniu, one of the world's largest wineries). The proposed conversion would result in increased sediment, increased water temperature, and decreased stream flows, all of which threaten the continued survival of salmonids in the affected streams.
