"I was driving south from Gualala towards the bridge around noon on a very stormy January 26th when I noticed the waves flowing over the sandbar.
I grabbed my camera and settled in along the bank just below the pullout south of the Breakers. There was a small break in the sandbar and about half the waves were flowing over the bar. I was enchanted with the plentiful gulls and the patterns of the water on the sandbar as they kept changing and shifting. I stayed for about 45 minutes and captured some images of the river that I find both unusual and beautiful."
